How do I clean up trusses after a fire damage?

Fire in Roof Burned Trusses

An electrical problem began in the roof of this home in Andrews, NC. The smoke detectors went off when the smoke had made its way through the ceiling.

These trusses were in bad shape and most thought they needed to be replaced. Upon further inspection it was deemed that they could be cleaned of the smoke since they were still holding together.

They needed to be deodorized to remove the smoke smell form the wood because they are porous and will swell up with heat allows the small particles to penetrate deeper. SERVPRO of Nantahala got it cleaned and odor free.
